Tay Walker Gets Caught Up In 'A Crazy Thing Called Love'

Like his former The Internet bandmates, Tay Walker has been dropping new solo music since the year began. With a two-year gap since his 25HAD (25 Hours A Day) debut, we had a hunch that singles "Runaway" and "Bomb Bomb" were primers for an upcoming album. Well, the current word on the street is that a new album – purportedly titled OWSTN or One Way Street To Nowhere – is indeed on the horizon. While we await an official announcement, Tay was at least kind enough to give us something tangible by way of his new song and music video "CTCL," also known as "A Crazy Thing Called Love."

Smitten at first listen. That's pretty much how we felt after tuning into the sweetest love song we've heard in a while. The laid-back arrangement of jazzy Rhodes and synth chords marked by sparse but pronounced percussion, which at times simulates a beating heart, evokes a feeling of strolling down a city sidewalk or park holding hands with your sweetheart. It's the perfect backdrop for Mr. Walker's narrative of a chance encounter that blossoms into something special.

The onslaught of warm fuzzies continues as we watch the story unfold through Mike Stacey's visual treatment of the song. Tay is ever the gentleman as he spends the day trying to help a lovely stranger (played by Joy Green) forget about her breakup. As the day goes on and they get to know each other, a humorously charming Cupid (played by Tay's younger brother, Jordan "Kleva GTD" Walker) helps ignite the sparks of new romance.
