Between her recently-wrapped tour and showing up and out at ESSENCE Festival 2017, our girl Leela James has been generating some serious heat this summer. Though she's taking a break to recoup from her grueling schedule, she's still fanning the flames of her sizzling album Did It For Love with newly released visuals for "Hard For Me."
The romance and affection that gave us the feels in her previous video for "All Over Again" are nowhere to be found here. Instead, the ruminative ballad finds Ms. James "in her solitude" at a private cabin nestled in the mountains. There's trouble at home and she needs some time to think. But that doesn't mean she can't slay in the process. Whether it's a crisp, white cold-shoulder shirt dress, a billowy red gown or au naturel in an outdoor bathtub, Leela is both visually and aurally stunning as she laments, "I don't want to fight with you / I don't want to cry about it / But what am I supposed to do / 'Cause we can't be together like this." Sounds like dude better get some "Act Right" in his system real quick before he permanently messes up a good thing.
