Khalid Takes It Back To High School For 'Young Dumb & Broke'

While summer vacation is coming to a close for many youth, "Location" singer Khalid is still in a school daze. The Texas native has released the music video for his latest single “Young Dumb & Broke,” and he takes on a nostalgic trip through high school with a few famous faces and friends.

The concept for the “Young Dumb & Broke” visual centers around the last day of school where no f**ks are given and lifelong friendships are forged. The video opens with Dennis Haskings, best known as Principal Belding from the sitcom Saved by the Bell, giving the morning announcements and wishing his students good luck on the rest of their lives. We’re also treated to a dance contest between Khalid and a school cafeteria worker played by Kel Mitchel from Kenan & Kel and Good Burger fame. There are also appearances by Rachel Leigh Cook, Normani Kordei of Fifth Harmony, VanJessBuddy and Black Party. In between all these cameos, we get cool kids being cool, water gun fights, cheerleading practice and just a taste of teen drama. The clip ends with a hysterical scene with Wayne Brady as the school janitor, musing on the life decisions that led him to sweeping floors.

With “Young Dumb & Broke,” Khalid manages to make us nostalgic for those bygone high school days and glad that they're long over.
