Kevin Ross Makes It Hard To Leave With 'Don't Go'

After years of waiting in the wings, racking up songwriting credits or performing as an opening act, Kevin Ross has spent most of 2017 basking in the limelight of his debut release The Awakening. The album earned critical acclaim, produced No. 1 singles on Billboard's Adult R&B chart and opened the door for his first headlining tour. In our opinion, the recognition is long overdue, so we're happy to see the Washington, D.C. native come into his own.

His latest single, a mid-tempo groove called "Don't Go," stayed in heavy rotation this summer, finally making it to the top of the charts. In celebration, Mr. Ross has dropped the visuals for the infectious tune. Against a fluorescent backdrop, he serenades his lady, listing the many reasons he can't get enough of her love while begging her to postpone her plans and spend the night with him. With his smooth vocals effortlessly coasting over a lush R&B arrangement that's reminiscent of Michael Jackson's "Butterflies," it's an invitation that's pretty hard to resist.

Peep the video below, download The Awakening if it's not already a part of your collection and stay tuned for new music when he releases his Drive EP on September 29th.
