Little Dragon Finds 'Peace Of Mind' With Faith Evans & Raphael Saadiq

It's not every day that three of your faves connect for a silky smooth track. Well, today that definitely just happened. Swedish electro-R&B band Little Dragon has dropped off their latest single "Peace Of Mind," a loosie left over from their Season High sessions. Rather than let the song be lost in obscurity, the quartet decided to add some extra star power to the Raphael Saadiq-produced joint and recruited none other than R&B royalty Faith Evans to lend her own magic. Yes, you read that right, Little Dragon, Raphael Saadiq and Faith Evans did a song together — and it's just as fire as you'd expect.

The song itself finds Yukimi and the boys in the mood for a bit of tranquility. To that effect, Yukimi lays her vocals over a buttery smooth groove driven by the bass line. As the song progresses, the singer paints a picture of getting away to calmer, more soothing moments. Faith soon joins in on the song's chorus, contributing a kind of call-and-response with Yukimi. The song feels so sublime that the only visual treatment that could complement it was one showing the song's creation. The clip takes us into the process, with Saadiq sitting at the boards as the band lays down the track. As we watch Yukimi in the booth and the fellas at their instruments, in struts Faith as she walks to the booth to lay down her part. It all comes together beautifully in the dimly lit clip, evoking a calm, inviting mood that has us wanting to chill in the studio right along with them.

While the collaboration is a pleasantly unexpected surprise, it's one that we are more than happy to groove to. Check out the video for "Peace Of Mind" right here.
