Battle of the Beats: Faith vs. Faith

Welcome to this week's Battle of the Beats REMIX STYLE! Last time we did it for The Notorious One, but this time we gotta rep for widowed wifey Faith Evans. Presented for your voting pleasure are two versions of the jump-off single "You Used to Love Me", the first by remixer and megalomaniac extraordinaire Sean "Puffy" Combs, and the second is the rare (and vastly superior) remix by Ali Shaheed Muhammed from A Tribe Called Quest and Lucy Pearl.

So which Faith are you feeling the most? The likely "You're A Customer" re-tread or the Ummah-fied remix?

Faith Evans: "You Used to Love Me (Bad Boy Remix ft. Puffy)

  5. Bad Boy remix all the way.
Funny enough, I was watching a video channel, probably VH1 Soul but I can't remember. They played an old Faith video for her song, Good Life. It reminded me of Kanye's song, Good Life, so of course I thought of Soulbounce's usual posts featuring 2 songs that share a likeness. That will be a good one to vote on Nova....whadaya say? 🙂

  6. The Bad Boy one is a classic, fa' sho... But Ali Shaheed (can't call him Ummah, I laugh too much) put his foot in it with that remix . Gotta go with Ali on this battle...

  7. The Ummah remix for a chillout day. The BadBoy remix was for a late-night creep! >:)
