Diva Overload Alert!! All Parties Evacuate the Premises!

aretha_minisite.JPGIf any of you drag queens were wondering when an album would finally come along that embodied the long, distinguished legacy of melisma and hair extensions soul music, then look no further than the forthcoming Aretha Franklin duets compilation.

Jewels in the Crown: All-Star Duets with the Queen (the queen being Aretha, natch) is due on 11/13 via J/Arista. Aside from career-spanning collabs with the likes of John Legend, Luther Vandross (respect) and George Michael, check out the female personnel to be included:

Fantasia ("Put You Up on Game"), Mary J. Blige ("Never Gonna Break My Faith"), Whitney Houston ("It Isn't, It Wasn't, It Ain't Never Gonna Be"), and Mariah Carey ("Chain of Fools").

Not only does this entire set look like it's practically begging to be remixed by Junior Vasquez and The Freemasons, I'm wondering if it comes with a free limited edition bottle of aspirin and, perhaps, a Bible.
