Diggin’ In The Crates: Sting + Diddy + Pras Michel = A Red Light

For this week's Diggin' in the Crates, we decided to take it back to '97 when Diddy was all over everything. For The Very Best of Sting & The Police, Diddy recruited long suffering Fugees member Pras and some Full Force vocal samples to bring "Roxanne" back to life. Although the remix got plenty of burn on urban radio, we can't deny how disjointed this recipe turned out.

Check it out without the vocals. Much hotter, right?

Bonus: Also included on the remix single was The Police's "Voices Inside My Head", which would later be used on 702's "Steelo".

  1. I love The Police and everything they have ever done, so I really couldn't stand this song when it came out.
Everytime I think of a Sting and Puffy collabo, I can't help but think of think of the pained look Sting had on his face when he performed "I'll Be Missing You
" from the MTV Awards. Ick.

  2. I have the promotional CD single for Roxanne 97 to this day ... I got it when I was a clerk at Sam Goody, ha ha. Still kicks ass.
