After yesterday's EXPLOSIVE revelation that Janelle Monae is signing to Bad Boy Records (something that's actually been floating around since November, maybe), word comes that Cheri Dennis' face is tight about this fiasco! Not because she's worried Janelle's artistic integrity will have to defer to Diddy's ego, but maybe because it takes a little shine off of her (such as it was):
"I'm still under the bus. I'm sorry I can't come up for that question. But, I think she's phenomenal. She used to be signed to Big Boi. And that's all I'll say about that."
Insult to injury? The physical release of In and Out of Love drops on February 26, the same date reserved for Janet Jackson's Discipline and Erykah Badu's New AmErykah. Yeah, we kinda got the gas face too. Also, "Big Boi" probably isn't a label?
