The Smirnoff Signature Series, featuring remakes of the original tracks that beloved hip hop pioneers had made famous, has its first video incarnation of KRS-ONE's "Criminal Minded 2008." Arguably the best of the series which also featured Common and Q-Tip, KRS rhymes as only he knows how, while DJ Premier, considered by many to be the best hip hop producer of this generation, provides a solid, yet satisfactory beat to accompany KRS' flow. Not as good as the Nike-sponsored "Classic" produced by Primo and featuring KRS, Rakim, Nas, and Kanye West, the '08 version of the classic "Criminal Minded" is better than most of the nonsense infiltrating your eardrums these days.
