Quentin Harris Goes Deep

Over the next few days, I'll be saluting some of my favorite House producers, starting with the one and only Quentin Harris.

This man is probably responsible for getting me as deep into House music as I am right now. I'd be here all day naming the artists he's remixed: Maxwell, Donnie, Beyonce, Kem, Mary J, Leela James, Chaka Khan, Janet Jackson... just to name a few. He's also worked with and remixed House familiars like Dennis Ferrer, Kerri Chandler and Martin Solveig. Quentin's sound ranges from ethereal and organic ("Traveling") to all-out dancefloor insanity (the defining "Let's Be Young").

Included here are the aforementioned "Traveling" with Cordell McClary, Jill's "Hate On Me" as well as his magnificent remix to Mariah Carey's "Don't Forget About Us", which went to #1 on the Billboard Dance Charts. Listen to these tracks and tell me he's not the man.
