Simon 'Son of Satan' Cowell Actually Loves Fantasia

Last week, Fantastic Burrito Fantasia Barrino did a bunch of indecipherable incantations and called upon some malevolent spirits on the American Idol stage. As many have noted, the ever pleasant and genteel Simon Cowell looked upon this spectacle with not a little horror, and perhaps a bit of regret at being partly responsible for her career. But his recent appearance on Ellen clears everything up. That wasn't a face of judgment, it was one of shock. He had no idea what was going on. "It just sort of exploded!" To wit, Ellen makes a good point about artists like Fantasia:

"Some people have no talent, but they're packaged the right way so they sell. And some people have the talent, and they're packaged the wrong way so they don't sell."

Hope against hope, she just called Fantasia talented.
