Another Reggae Remake Proves That Listening To The Radio Is A Waste of Time

Like many of you, I rarely listen to any radio on the FM dial. My musical joy usually comes in the form of mixtapes and downloads of below-the-radar artists, many of whom are featured on this website. Because of my Jamaican ancestry, I am always on the lookout for great reggae jams, so imagine my surprise when it was brought to my attention that Jamaica's own Andy Livingston remade One Republic's "Apologize," a staple of any pop music radio station. For this, I give a hearty "big up" and a sincere "thank you" to Brother Andy for releasing a nice track and sparing me the agony of having to listen to the Timbaland-produced One Republic (who?) track.

HEy don't hate on OneRepublic, like many people in this industry Ryan Tedder, lead singer has been quietly putting in his work, producing and writing for the likes of: Leona Lewis, JLo, Natasha Beddingfield, Teairra Mari, Chris Cornell, Ludacris, Lupe Fiasco, Paula DeAnda, Christina Millian, Bubba Sparxxx, Shayne Ward, Tupac, Lemar, Esmee Denters
So it's safe to say he checks his mail everyday. I agree, it's painful to listen to the radio, but it doesn't do any artist just to hate or get elitist on people who do have heavy rotation. He has a voice, wether it's actually strong enough to keep up with the demands of Pop touring is another story.
