LL Cool J & The Dream Make a 'Baby'

The image When I'm alone in my room, sometimes I stare at the wall, and in the back of my mind I hear the sound of intense lip-licking and tired bravado over a staid R&B instrumental. I never thought the day would come when I'd say a song by Fabolous called "Baby" was head and shoulders above an LL Cool J track called "Baby," arguably one of the most overused song titles in the history of Black music. LL Cool J is a legend, who's managed to drop flop after flop in years recent. He's like the Hip Hop Janet Jackson! That said, this track is from the aptly titled Exit 13, and it finds him in comfortable loverman territory, backed by The Echo The Dream. The team-up, for what it is, isn't a bad look, but it's the same pillow talk and pork rinds we've come to expect from El Todd. I won't say that I'm still waiting for "Ill Bomb Part 2," but that's what I'm sayin'.
