Karina Pasian's debut disc First Love doesn't hit the shelves for another couple weeks (August 19th, to be exact), but the title single from the disc has leaked and it is a gorgeous song. Karina's powerful voice shines when singing about the tingles and swell of new feelings that only a first love can bring. Later when a male vocalist joins her on the bridge, you can feel the emotion in every word that they sing. I even thought that the interpolation of a lyric from "His Eye Is On the Sparrow" was a nice touch. "First Love" sounds like something Stacy Lattisaw would have sung in her day, which endears this track to me even more. I don't know what else to say; I am totally and utterly in love with this song.
