Olympic Wins Are Spawning A Hip Hop Race Of Sorts

usain-phelps2.jpgWith this year's gold medal Olympians being treated like rock stars, and after some of them revealed what gets them hyped to perform so well, you have to start to wonder when they'll really make their mark on society and enter the hallowed halls of hip hop lyric fame. I mean, doesn't Michael Phelps' hype songs including Lil Wayne and Jay-Z just scream for him to be in a rhyme, his eight gold medals notwithstanding. The folks over at Okayplayer feel the same way, too, and have penned some lyrics that would likely be spit by some popular rap artists about 100 meter Jamaican world record sprinter Usain Bolt whose name is just screaming for comparisons to thunder bolts. Just imagine Kanye saying "I said I had to bolt, girl was like 'Are U Sane?'" or Wayne saying "I run tracks like Usain, plus I Rack em like Hussein." Better still, there's a poll, with both Yeezy and Weezy taking the gold and silver respectively. In related news, Wale has been the first rapper to pen a rhyme making mention of Michael Phelps that was written two years ago. Looks like the Wheaties box may not the goal to reach when it comes to attaining a stellar sports career. [H/T: TCS]
