For Those Who Still Care, Kanye Presents 'Love Lockdown' 2.0

kanye_west_thumbs_up.jpg Kanye West's "Love Lockdown" is proving itself to be the most polarizing song to emerge in a minute. People either love it, or they hate it. Personally, I'm over it already. The official studio version that surfaced last week rubbed my ears the wrong way, and I clearly wasn't the only one who wasn't feeling it because Ye went back to the studio to make some revisions thanks to the WTF-like public outcry. So now we have the officially official official version with some new taiko drums and freshly resung parts from Kanye. Oh joy. I swear, I would have loved the dirty drawers off this song if a real vocalist actually sung on it and not Kanye-Pain, but nooooo. Not that Kanye gives a damn, because he posted a pointed message to the haters on his blog on Monday: "Sidebar... if you don't like autotune... too bad cause I love it and have been using it since the College Dropout!!!" Guess he told me! What. Ever. I suppose that this new version sounds slightly better than the last, which honestly isn't saying a whole lot. I'd rather listen to the live performance saved on my DVR, thank you very much. For those whose hearts belong to the live "Love Lockdown," there's a treat for you after the bounce. [2DB/MTV/KU]
