Will Ray J + Brandy = 'R&B' Success?

Yesterday, while on New York radio station Hot 97 to promote her new album Human, Brandy put the word out that she and little brother Ray J are in the early planning stages for what will be their first collaborative full length effort, the aptly named R&B. At first, I thought this was another ploy on the part of younger bro to be recognized by glomming on to someone else. I mean, it's not like he doesn't have a track record with that. (See Brandy, Kim, Lil; and Houston, Whitney)  However, based on their last duet, Another Day in Paradise, which was only released in the UK, it might could actually work. Detriments to the project could very well include the fact that they both have pretty similar singing styles. Oh, and any time Ray J attempts to rap in order to "change things up." Yeah, let's nip that in the bud right now: That's NOT the change we need in America. I'm willing to give this a chance. As long as it turns out better than when Dorian showed up on Moesha's doorstep all those years ago. We can only hope.
