This is What You Do When Q-Tip is In Town

Q-Tip's clip for "Renaissance Rap" is a treat on many levels. Very rarely does an artist do a video for a "hidden" track (it follows "Move" on the same track). Most times, videos released from the same album tend to decline in quality. This, being the third from The Renaissance, is visually appealing with a narrative replete with intrigue, profiling and a satisfying payoff. It also helps that Rik Cordero doesn't overdo it. Also, "Renaissance Rap" is one of the best tracks from the album, a certified head-nodder that is fresh, yet feels like an old friend. Classic Kamaal.
