Upon learning that she concluded her set at this Grammy party in Los Angeles by jumping into a pool and then climbing a tree, it's clear that a Janelle Monáe performance could have made the Grammy Awards more bearable to watch. Instead, a lucky few bore witness to her trademark electric performance-antics at The Mondrian. This video of her singing "Violet Stars" is the build up to her dunk n' climb finale. Unfortunately the majority of us had to endure the confounding Stevie Wonder/Jonas Brothers forced collaboration on TV instead of something, you know, actually innovative and bearable. Like this.
