Kanye West, Santigold, & Lykke Li ‘Gifted’ In N.A.S.A Video

In the no-rules, unique collaboration centered world of N.A.S.A. (Squeak E. Clean and DJ Zegon) the paring of Kanye West, Lykke Li, and Santigold is precisely the point. Even though joining these three disparate voices together is unexpected (and not everyone's thing) the video for "Gifted" is engaging enough to make it through the synth-bass edginess. It features some wild animation and a commitment to spacey bizarre imagery that is transfixing. The track itself is definitely the stronger element, though, which is saying a lot when used in a video with a crashing space ship, a transforming digitized skull and sweeping color/space-scapes. Definitely worth viewing.

  1. it was either brainchild or stylus talking about the n.a.s.a. album on twitter, wondering how the hell did they get all these people on one album and that it probably sucked as a result. granted, there are plenty of hip-hop albums alone that feel bloated from too many guests, but the single "money" had like six guests on it including david byrne and chuck d. and i really dig that cut. other than that, i heard "whatchadoin'" - an okay joint. this isn't spectactular, but it's certainly interesting and mainly because of its lineup. squeak and zegon have done a smart thing with the videos - they definitely keep you engaged.

  2. Very good video! I've had this song on the player since the album came out. Great song. I hope they do a video for Money featuring David Byrne, Ras Kongo and Chuck D
