In this age of Auto-Tune and studio-made stars, nothing beats a singer who can sing live (and they get bonus points if they can play an instrument, too). Anthony David is that dude. I already knew that the man could sing from hearing his albums, but his live show takes his music to the next level. Anthony has great stage presence (not to mention jokes), and he brings it every time I've seen him in concert. This clip from my vault is of him singing a medley of his homegirl India.Arie's "Part Of My Life," which he wrote, and one of my all-time faves, Guy's "I Like," with a little Roy Ayers vibe thrown in toward the end. If this doesn't make you want to rush out to see Anthony David when he comes to your city, then I really don't know what to say.
