Best MiJac Tribute So Far? Possibly.

Following the passing of Michael Jackson, we knew there would be a deluge of MJ-themed deejay mixes hitting the Internets, with pretty much everyone offering up a selection of classics, non-negotiable Pop hits and rarities. Our comrade Honey has been doing an excellent job archiving them all. But the best one we've heard so far, hands down, is by DJ Lil' Dave of the distinguished Illvibe Collective. Another Part Of MJ: Remakes, Remixes, & Re-Edits employs the use of deejay favorites like "I Can't Help It (Tangoterje Remix)," Spinna's remix of "We're Almost There" and the demo version of "P.Y.T.," but rather than a hour and thirteen minutes of just crate-digging, Dave also blends the records. Is blending a deal-breaker in this case? Yes. We're fans of organic segues around these parts.
