In France, Whitney’s One In A ‘Million’

If you've been wondering what's been going on with Whitney Houston since her album dropped last month, don't fret. The diva is touring to promote her latest release, I Look To You, and wowing audiences worldwide with live performances. Recently, she appeared on the French television show Le Grand Journal, singing her current single, "Million Dollar Bill" and then sitting down for an interview. You know, while it's true that Whitney can't hit the notes anymore, you can still feel the energy when she takes the stage. And in all seriousness, her backup singers get more shine these days, and they sounded great! As for the interview, it was your standard fare, with translations from French to English and vice versa. The dead corpse guy with sunglasses and racing gloves sitting next to the left is the one and only Karl Lagerfeld. Peep near the end, though, as one of her interviewers tries to pigeonhole Whit. In any language, that's not a good idea. C'mon Son!

  1. Again... looks great... Sounds terrible. She barely been out there a few minutes and already she's hoarse? Hows she gonna carry a concert? I do want the best for her, but Immo call a spade a spade.

  2. ...and that's Lily Allen getting ready to duck under the table if it all kicks off (as it so easily could).
Whit's decided to convince us by sheer force of will that she's back and a player and you know what? Oddly. It's sort of working. She has indeed "transcended" even if she sounds like I'd sound when the elevator's out of order and I'm wheezing that song all the way up the stairs I used to fly up two at a time. She makes me laugh.
