Mary Won't Be 'Stronger' Til Later This Year

This Just In: Mary J. Blige's new disc, Stronger, will be out in time for the holidays. Just during Christmas week, and not around Thanksgiving, as originally planned. Speculation has it that either Mary doesn't want to compete with fellow R&B sistren/competitor Alicia Keys, who will be dropping her latest album around the same time, or that since the Drake-assisted atrocity, "The One," did so poorly on the charts, they want to separate themselves from that brush fire and let the air clear before continuing forward with a new single. (See that look on Mary's face in the photo? To quote Kanye, 'Now you know how we feel'.) Whatever the reason, you'll still have your new MJB in time for gift-giving season. You just may need to be nice to your UPS man in order to get it to your people on time.

In the meantime, Mary will be at Yankee Stadium singing the national anthem before tonight's World Series Game 6 at approximately 7:45. And after the bounce is video of her recent appearance on Good Morning America singing the title track from the never upcoming album. Hopefully, this goodness--along with our Month of Mary--will tide you over for the next month.
