Theophilus London's New Video Is Anything But 'Humdrum'

There have been some fantastic videos to drop over the past few weeks and here's another for your consumption from Brooklynite Theophilus London for his latest, "Humdrum Town." The track is a slice of '80s-inspired synth-heavy heaven with London's up-to-date Electro Hip Hop Soul twist. The video features two parallel storylines--one set in a karaoke bar and the other set in the video displayed in said bar while patrons (including SB fave Jesse Boykins III who blesses the chorus) sing along--that merge together in the end. Shot on location in New York City by director Ben Fries, the clip also has a throwback vibe to it and borrows its bar scene from Martin Scorsese's 1973 film Mean Streets. It's a unique concept and the execution was tight. Take a gander below.
