Tyrese Does Teddy Pendergrass Right On Late Night TV

I have two recent distinct memories of Tyrese Gibson. One was at party on my birthday, which we coincidentally share, that involved a baby white tiger and a little person who jumped out of a cake. But I won't bore you with those details. The other was a recent viewing of Legion, which he stars in that was less than stellar. But you know what? After viewing this performance of "Come On and Go With Me" from Lopez Tonight sung lovingly and convincingly by a teeny weeny afro-sporting Tyrese, I have decided to forgive him for his past indiscretions. Not only is Tyrese doing the damn thing with this song, but he seems genuinely hurt by Teddy's passing as evidenced during the interview by George Lopez before his rendition of this song. I'm sorry I missed it, but now I can replay it as often as I want.

  1. Very nice. I had no idea this was in the works

  2. I had heard that Tyrese was a candidate to star as Teddy P in a biopic, this confirms it for the mostpart.
And I'm mad that John Singleton keeps pushing back the Luke Cage film with Tyrese. It's been like 3 years now? That movie has been more stalled than the healthcare reform.

  3. Not bad at all...............and people thought jahiem would end up at least doing the voice over)

  4. yo, this gave me chills, like when I went to see Jamie play Ray at the movies. I can't wait for the biopic to come out and I'm so glad it was in the works prior to (Teddy P's) passing. Incredible.
