He says Erykah Badu's last album was wack. Period. She snickers inside her head and audibly and says that Erykah's last album was the dopeness. Says I guess it wasn't made for you. He says she hasn't made a good album in since the '90s. She gets physically hot and rolls her eyes. They go to Erykah's concerts faithfully, two-stepping and finger-snapping and just agree that she'll always please both of her factions by unapologetically tearing up the stage. And so goes the argument, Erykah stans and those fair-weather fans who mostly feel that Baduizm was likely her best work. Until now. After listening to the snippets of New Amerykah Part Two: Return of the Ankh on Amazon, I guarantee that not only will both factions be pleased, we will finally be able to reunite once more at venues other than concerts, namely the car, outdoor barbeques, late-night sessions, and just about any other venue that requires listening to something completely wonderful. It drops March 30th, a day that can't come soon enough. Tracklisting and a treat within after the bounce.
