I know that it's not right to kick an old man when he's down, but dammit Quincy Jones needs to stop his 2010 reign of musical terror. As if the leak of the coochie-pop bastardized version of "Secret Garden" wasn't enough, I've finally forced myself to watch the music video for "Strawberry Letter 23" featuring Akon and it's as bad as I thought. The technicolor landscape dotted with red trees and aqua bushes is not enough to distract from how horrendous this song is. And Akon trying to be a sexy leading man? Boy, bye! Quincy is here, too, picking away at the piano and losing his cool with each second of this fail. This is so sad to witness Quincy's fall from impresario to impotent. Someone wake me when this nightmare is over.
