With their June 22nd release date quickly approaching, the leaks from The Roots' How I Got Over are coming fast and furious. Here is another to feature crooner John Legend with the track "The Fire." Johnny Boy almost doesn't sound like himself here, which isn't a bad thing--it's good to see him switch it up a bit. What does remain the same, however, is Black Thought ripping the mic to shreds as he's prone to do. The song itself is an uplifting tune, encouraging people not to give up--to keep that fire inside burning. I'm sure with all of the trials and tribulations that The Roots have gone through in an industry that will chew you up and spit you out without a second thought, that this was an easy one to write.
