The Roots Take A Look Back As They Prepare To Get 'Over'

Let the countdown begin. In exactly one week, The Roots will drop their 11th album, How I Got Over, and heads such as myself are really looking forward to its release. While we think ahead, however, The Roots want us to look back in this promo video for the album. Combining footage of Dr. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X with vintage photographs of people such as Frederick Douglass, Rosa Parks, Medgar Evers and others, the historical visuals provide the perfect backdrop to Black Thought's rhyming.
