There is nothing in my current music library under the name Asher Roth, but I can unequivocally say that I am feeling this song. The flip of Willie Mitchell's "Groovin'" that RZA deftly chopped up for GZA's "Liquid Swords"? Yeah, I'm all over that. The visuals are original (mammary grab notwithstanding) and the lyrics are tight. Is "Toni Braxton" about his unyielding lust for her? Vaguely. Is it a little raunchy? Sure, but that's how hip hop should be. It's most certainly not a very friendly musical genre to neophytes. Asher's got me intrigued and for that I'll be sure to follow whatever future blips from him land on my radar.
