When Janelle Monáe was rhyming about wishing that people would stop asking her to change her clothes, she was definitely talking about me. I know that her black-and-white color palette is her signature currently, just like Erykah's headwraps made those less deserving rush to throw misshapen fabric on top of their heads. Despite Janelle's signature look continuing in this new ad for Coca-Cola, her music apparently brings a technicolor dreamscape over the urban setting in this commercial. I don't know about you, but Janelle on a Coke ad definitely signals that big tings a gwan in her immediate future. Go 'head, Janelle. A performer such as yourself truly deserves it.
