Mos Def can do no wrong in my book. Whenever that dude touches a mic, it's guaranteed that he'll be bringing some heat. And when he teams up with an equally as dope producer, such as the talented Ski Beatz, it's a wrap. Just take a listen to the song "Cream of the Planet," the video for which is below. The jazz-infused track is the perfect bed for Mos to lay his vocals on. This is definitely my kinda hip hop, and I'll get to hear more when Ski Beatz releases his solo debut, 24 Hour Karate School, on September 7th. The video takes a less is more approach with just Mos Def rapping on a city street with a blink-and-you-might-miss-him cameo from Ski. It's a good look.
