I always get a little bit salty when it comes to that annual meetup and celebration of all things awesome in the nation's capital, Howard University's Homecoming. My mother merely snickered when I mentioned that I intended to apply there, walked away, and subsequently told me that I was absolutely not going to be submitting an application. I guess I always felt that I had majorly missed out on all the fun, although I'm sure in the end my GPA staying intact at my alma mater was the most important issue. I'm sure I'm too old to partake in any HU Homecoming festivities now, plus, as an Angeleno for the past five years, I refuse to travel anywhere that requires me to wear socks. At least I can vicariously experience some of the fun as well as cool out to a super laid back ode to the ladies courtesy of Big Remo's "Go Ladies" produced by 9th Wonder.
