I can honestly say that there is not one track that I have ever heard from Mar that I have not instantly loved. This goes for his solo work as well as work he's done by collaborating with others. Promising to release a new track monthly from his Variations series, "1st Session" is nothing less than what I have come to expect from Mar. In fact, the song's vibe is one that I haven't heard in quite some time. It's effortlessly soulful and not so overtly neo-soul-ish that it causes me to flee to the hills.
