I think I may need a late pass to the Wake Up! party. The collaboration between John Legend and The Roots looked great on paper, but after taking a brief listen to several tracks there was nothing that really grabbed my attention. Well that was until several videos surfaced of them performing various tracks live. I've never seen John or The Roots live before, but I can confidently say that I'm sure their live performances best their recorded performances every time. Performances such as the one below where they perform "Hard Times" from their GRAMMY-nominated Wake Up! have definitely renewed my appreciation for the album, and I will be revisiting it ASAP.
