Celebrate The Evolution Of Hip-Hop With The GRAMMY Foundation At ‘Word Revolution’

The 53rd Annual GRAMMY Awards is fast approaching, with music's biggest night happening on Sunday, February 13th. SoulBounce will be live and on location reporting on all the festivities with live updates via Twitter (make sure to follow us now so you don't miss out) not only for the GRAMMY Awards themselves but for numerous events during GRAMMY Week. One event that we can't wait to attend is Word Revolution: A Celebration Of The Evolution Of Hip-Hop on Thursday, January 10th.

Word Revolution is the 13th Annual GRAMMY Foundation Music Preservation Project, and this historic show will mark the first time that hip hop will be honored and recognized by the GRAMMY Foundation who is co-producing this event with Centric. The celebration of the genre and the culture will take place at the Wilshire Ebell Theatre in Los Angeles and feature a bevy of some of our hip hop and R&B favorites. Check out this long list of artists scheduled to perform: Arrested Development, Chrisette Michele, El DeBarge, 9th Wonder, Marsha Ambrosius, DJ Beverly Bond, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Kid Capri, and MC Lyte, with many more also participating.

All Bouncers who live in the Los Angeles area and anyone else who will be in town for the GRAMMY Awards are invited and encouraged to attend Word Revolution to celebrate the past, present, and future of hip hop. Previous GRAMMY Foundation Music Preservation Project events have sold out, so be sure to purchase your tickets now for $25 online or by calling 866.811.4111. Check out the flyer for more details and we'll see you there with our b-girl stance.
