The name Geno Young is familiar to fans of indie soul who loved his 2001 debut Ghetto Symphony. It only took us almost a decade to get his sophomore album, but, like all good things, it was worth the wait. Young dropped Ear Hustler last year, and I enjoyed it but didn't find myself with it on repeat like I did his previous release. However, this new video for the single "Shoulda" is going to have me revisiting this album with the quickness. The Dallas-based singer/songwriter/musician/producer's locs and boho style are gone and he's getting his grown man on while performing this song to an audience that includes a beauty who is quite enamored with his performance. He tries to make his way to her after the show, but he shoulda been a little faster. Dope video for a dope song.
