LA Bouncers: Get Down For A Good Cause & Get A Dose Of 'Soul Power!'

As we embark upon this three-day weekend, let's not forget the real reason we can be grateful for an extra day away from work. While some of us may not be able to attend any festivities commemorating Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday and what his selflessness meant for people worldwide, most of us will never let a good party go unattended, especially one for a good cause. That being said, Soul Power!, honoring both Dr. King and James Brown's legacies, kicks off tonight at the Medusa Lounge in Los Angeles benefitting Elevate Hope, a charity founded by singer/songwriters Sheila E. and Lynn Mabry providing abused and abandoned children an alternative method of therapy through music and the arts. Featuring DJ Kaleem, DJ Al Jackson, Jedi, and A-Ski spinning the best of funk, soul, R&B, and whatever else tickles their fancy, this is an event you do not want to miss. Be sure to grab your dancing shoes and leave your attitude at the door while you get your serious groove on smack in the middle of this three-day weekend all for a good cause. Yes, SoulBounce will be in the house. Full flyer after the bounce.
