Adele, inspired by her US tour bus driver, incorporated elements of country music into her new album, 21, albeit nestled in amongst the soul/pop we are used to hearing from her. However, this cover of Lady Antebellum's "Need You Now," featuring Darius Rucker (Hootie!), gives us a glimpse of Adele in full-on country mode. While the song, in both its original and cover format, does absolutely nothing for me, Adele's vocals shine through as always. Personally I'd like to hear these two duet on something a little more soul-orientated as I think their voices sound great together. For those of you who are feeling this, the track will be included on the US deluxe version of the album. Yee haw! [H/T: PBB]
