Flip Through These 'Yellow Pages' With Hollyweerd

One of the first things I fell in love with after relocating to Atlanta (aside from the
weather) was the diversity in the indie hip-hop artists here. And one doesn't get more
diverse than The Love Crusader, Dreamer, Tuki, and Stago Lee who come together as the eclectic foursome that is Hollyweerd. Since forming in 2007, the group
has been tickling many a fancy with their creative spin on hip hop that is as much Southern comfort as it is raw funk. Just in time for spring, Hollyweerd drops the new
single "Yellow Pages." This jazzy track reflects on the emptiness of modern technology
while giving a nostalgic nod to the long ago use of the Yellow Pages for our "information."
The video itself takes a creative look at a sunny stroll through ATL, while visiting
establishments like the renowned City of Ink and neighborhood favorite Johnny
Cakes. What draws you in to both the song and accompanying video is the simplicity
of it; when done right, less really is more. If you like what you're hearing, you can take a listen to more of Hollyweerd's
releases via their Bandcamp page.
