Georgia Anne Muldrow & Dudley Perkins Show The 'Summer' Some 'Love'

Finding love in the days of summer is perhaps one of the best feelings in the world. Just like the summer, it's usually hot, steamy, torrid and...sorry, almost got lost there for a minute. Anyway, love in the summertime is a great thing to have. Georgia Anne Muldrow knows this, so she teamed up with frequent collaborator Dudley Perkins and MED to set that feeling to music and put a little Cali stank on it. The result is the aptly titled "Summer Love." Lifted from her latest, Kings Ballad, this is perhaps one of Georgia's more straightforward and generally accessible songs. The smoothed-out synthesizer and bass-heavy groove sounds like it was made in the G-Funk era (if there were a video for this, Snoop would have to have a cameo). Add to that the fact that Georgia and Dudley just have a natural chemistry and a well-executed verse by MED, another Stones Throw alum, and you've got a perfect summer jam to bump in your ride. Almost at the midpoint of this summer season, who could ask for anything more?
