Lalah Hathaway's 'Where It All Begins' Album Cover Would Make Her Father Proud

One of the most highly-anticipated album releases this fall here around SBHQ is Lalah Hathaway's Where It All Begins. As if the first single, "If You Want To," wasn't enough to have us clamoring for the record's October 18th release, now the exquisite album cover has been released to seal the deal. A drawing of the always gorgeous singer is utilized here with Lalah's lovely locs replaced with renderings of her father Donny Hathaway's many album covers. But if you look closely, that's Lalah in her dad's place on each cover in a nostalgic twist. Lalah not only pays homage to her father visually on Where It All Begins, but musically as well with a remake of his song "You Were Meant For Me" included here in addition to a reworking of her own classic "I'm Coming Back" from her 1990 self-titled debut with Rachelle Ferrell on board. September may have just begun, but October 18th truly can't come soon enough.
