Let Lloyd Take You Out On 'Saturday Night'

Maybe it's because I don't pay attention to BET's 106 & Park (or listen to the radio for that matter), but I had no idea that Lloyd put out an album this year. While I may have slept on Ashanti's former labelmate in crime this go-round, I haven't forgotten that he's always good for at least one jam. Seriously, who wasn't jamming to "You" or "Get It Shawty" (whether out at the club or in the privacy of their own headphones) when they dropped? Exactly. When Lloyd is on, he can make a great tune. Take for instance the newly-surfaced "Saturday Night," an unreleased track right up Lloyd's alley. A lighthearted love ditty, "Saturday Night" is cute and fun without trying too hard. After taking a listen to King of Hearts, I'm not sure why this isn't on it, but it's a good look for Mr. Polite nonetheless. Now, that unfortunate haircut and head tattoo combo he's rocking? That's a topic for another day.
