I'm sure there will be many who jump on this and say that the original is a classic and there's no need for it to be remixed, but I beg to differ. Sure there are songs that are deemed untouchable, either in terms of remixes or remakes, and I agree that more often than not the results are far from good. However, this Ambassadeurs remix of Marvin Gaye's "Ain't That Peculiar" stands out amongst its peers as a worthwhile exercise, in my opinion. It seems I'm not the only one either as Jalapeno Records (home to Smoove & Turrell amongst others) have signed up this guys EP, which includes the remix, and will be releasing it next week.
