The Roots & Bilal Take It To The 'Other Side' On 'Late Night'

If you haven't bought a copy of The Roots' latest album undun, WHY?! Seriously, it's easily a contender for album of the year status. Though I obviously don't see why I should have to convince you, I'll offer some proof as to why this should be in your collection. Last night on the band's day job (otherwise known as NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon), they showcased a few of the album's tracks, including a live rendition of "Other Side" with special guest Bilal. The crew was as tight as ever, with Black Thought switching from rapping to trading notes with Bilal toward the end. And speaking of the end, the crew took it to church with Bilal letting the unhinged side that we all know from his live shows shine through and the boys fanning the flames with expressive playing. If they're this amazing on Late Night I can only imagine how awesome their show at NYC's Highline Ballroom was last week (still kind of salty I missed out on that one). Don't just take my word for it, press play below and see the hardest working band in show business do it like only they can below. And, because I like you, jump after the bounce to see them do "Tip the Scale" and "The Redford Suite" as well. [H/T: OKP]
