'Let's' Hear How Seal Sounds On This Al Green Cover

British crooner Seal has returned to the cover album business with his latest, Soul 2. Already on shelves in the UK and Europe, the album will receive a proper U.S. release on January 24th and features the artist delivering his renditions of soul classics from the likes of Teddy Pendergrass ("Love T.K.O."), Rose Royce ("Wishing On a Star"), Bill Withers ("Lean On Me"), and more old school favorites. Joining the ranks of Tina Turner, Boyz II Men, and Robin Thicke, Seal has even decided to try Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" on for size, with positive results. Seal's rendition doesn't stray too far from the original even if it does lack that gritty son-of-a-sharecropper soul inherent in Reverend Al's delivery. With Valentine's Day right around the corner, this will be a nice new addition to your cuddle-time playlist.
