Ayentee Shares A 'Mos Common Thought'

San Francisco Bay area producer Ayentee released Mos Common Thought last week, the first installment of his Frankensteined series. This 10-track free download offers the very best verses from three of SoulBounce's favorite emcees, Yasiin Bey (the artists formerly known as Mos Def for those still not in the know), Common, and The Roots' frontman Black Thought. We've all heard our share of mix, match, and blend projects, from Danger Mouse's The Grey Album (Jay-Z and The Beatles) to the more recent Born Ready To Die by Depraved Lunatic (Lana Del Rey and Notorious B.I.G.), but Ayentee renders a solid classic hip-hop vibe on Mos Common Thought with tracks like "Nothin' Like Me," "Girls x3," "Black Out," and "Beef," which provides an anthem to raise consciousness and reprogram listener's thoughts on an infamous hip-hop topic over a Motown-esque beat. Download Mos Common Thought via Bandcamp and find more music from Ayentee, who's also a rapper as well, on his website.
