B. Slade Has Something For The 'Famished'

Now on his ninth release under his new moniker, B. Slade offers an anecdote to the starving artist with "Famished," a peak into his experimental pop-soul concept album, Knowing. This track, chock full o' funk, finds B. Slade discussing the lack of soul, passion, and creativity in today's music. "Music was our passion. Now, it's our disease. Boogie done went cripple...Just give the people what they need," he sings. Similar to Janelle Monàe's ArchAndroid suites, Knowing plays like a feature-length film and finds Slade trekking through the land of Dsytopia as the character Cannon White. The 16-track album, pushed back after its original Christmas release date, hit the internet on February 11th, noted in memoriam to Whitney Houston.
